In 2004 I was accepted into LSU's Ceramic department’s post baccalaureate program. The program consisted of a cohort of five ceramic artists who were given a studio and enrolled in an undergraduate and a graduate student ceramic seminar. Beginning in 1994 and ending in 2004, this drawing illustrates the ways I was 1 degree of separation from the other four artists in this program. It functions as both a timeline and a map of where and how we were all connected in the time and space prior to all meeting and sharing that year together.
Technology Note:Prior to the invention of social media, it was cool to learn about one's connections to others. We achieved this by learning about each other's lives and seeking for any overlaps.
